John Ohman, CEO / Founder and CEO of Flatirons Capital Management, John Ohman is a respected national expert and author in the mortgage banking risk management field. Prior to founding FCM, John managed a successful brokerage business with Dean Witter in Denver, Colorado, where he focused on counseling clients in the strategic use of mortgage related securities to manage the mortgage pipeline risk.
John is a 1976 graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Business degree with an emphasis in accounting. He lives in St. Cloud, Minnesota, with his wife, Valerie, and their two boys, Alex and Sam. When he is not working on new ways to better manage mortgage pipeline risk, John spends time at their cabin in Northern Minnesota where he enjoys fishing, boating and teaching his boys the pleasures of the outdoor sporting life.
